Beach Rescue on December 12, 2020

On Sunday, Dec 12th around 2PM, a woman from Guadalajara was knocked down by two consecutive waves on the Northside Beach. There were no Lifeguards on watch that day. The woman was technically drowned. Lucky for her, we had a few of our trained volunteers on the beach, who reacted quickly and were able to resuscitate her! The ambulance was called and arrived quickly. They took over her care and made sure she was stable before leaving her side.

Many thanks to our many volunteers who bravely rescue people throughout the season. And also, thanks to all of you who have supported our program in the past and who continue to support us. If you would like to contribute to our Beach Safety Program, please click here:
